the Korean music industry sees only beauty, not talent, but do you people realize that you guys are the ones seeing beauty instead of talent?

Who ever said that the people not chosen in this competition were not chosen because of their looks? They are all beautiful!!
Nobody ever said that the person that got chosen was chosen because of her looks, but YOU people are the ones that are making it look like she was chosen ONLY because of her looks!!

Also, by saying that the Korean music industry sees only beauty, I feel that you are saying that the person who got chosen does not have talent, but only has beauty, which is not true because she clearly has a LOT of talent.

All three of them clearly have talent and beauty, and I keep on repeating this, but the person who was chosen has a lot of talent!!! Like come on, look at her at 2:52

And do you guys realize there are sooooooooo many wonderful artists in Korea who are popular not because of looks but because of TALENT??!! K-pop idols are not the only artists that exist in Korea, and I'm guessing that the reason why you guys are saying that the Korean music industry is corrupt is because you guys ONLY know K-pop idols.

You people really don't know other artists other than K-pop idols. And Koreans really like ballads, bust some of the ballad singers are not "beautiful", according to YOUR standards, but the Koreans like these artists because they have so much talent.

I don't know what makes you think this way but please please realize that this prejudice of saying that the Korean music industry only sees beauty not talent is a disrespectful comment, and stop acting like you know everything, because you really don't know everything about the Korean music industry. Just keep quiet if you don't know much and comment something that is nice, and don't comment things that are disrespectful to Korea.

I’m still sad they didn’t choose the middle girl. She was legendary to me. Korean Beauty standards and the entertainment industry is messed up. But they were all fantastic. I hope the yellow girl makes it far.
EDIT: Ya'll can keep arguing in the replies, it's not like you're gonna change my opinion. Looks matter. TOP from Bigbang almost was rejected from YG because he was "fat". Same with Lia from Itzy and Jihyo from Twice. Like I said, they were all good. But I've never seen a chubbier person make it far in the industry. It's few. And if you think looks don't matter, you're delusional. Because weight and looks do matter. In the end, there was just no way the middle girl was going to make it because of how she looked. But she was amazing :)

Plus, I think the voters voted to the person who they think sings the best not just seeing their physical appearances, and I think it is YOU that is degrading them by mentioning their physical appearances.

First of all, why are there so many international comments saying about a participant's beauty when it wasn't mentioned anywhere? I think these comments are the ones prejudiced and inwardly saying she's not pretty. There's a reason why your favorite one wasn't selected, and it's certainly not because of the looks. I'm not gonna say more because i don't want to judge their skills, since they are all good.
Second of all, don't speak as if you know if you really don't know. All the international comments saying that korean music industry only pays attention to "beauty" are totally wrong. I'm guessing that these people only 'know' kpop idols and don't know a bit about the korean culture. The songs popular in korean music chart are really diverse in genres and most koreans love 'ballad' (always on the top of the chart) which is not even one percent related to "beauty". It's only the voice and the song that matters. Try searching for korean songs with a lot of korean comments, not only the ones popular internationally. (And even the songs of popular idols are hard to last long in the chart because there are too many good songs to hear)
The reason why there are so many singers with talent but aren't popular is not because of beauty, but it's because there are too much people singing well (including non singers, you can check this easily in shows like 'i can see your voice', 'fantastic duo', 'duet song festival', etc). That's why it's becoming harder to be a successful singer. You have to have a unique voice, something special in the song, and good luck to be successful. Also even being a successful kpop idol nowadays is really hard, it's not just about looks; you have to have talent (vocal, dance, composition, and many more....), uniqueness, good timing, upright personality, and a lot more factors.
Not all people can be successful. That's natural for all countries, not just korea. Before saying things like "koreans don't recognize good singers", try looking for good but unpopular singers in your countries and listen to their songs too.
