I was reading earlier this morning about IU’s debut and everything she had to go through to get here.
She comes from a poor family, and people didn’t believe she could make it as a singer. She passed 20 auditions over two years and failed all of them. Finally a company offered her a chance to pass on television and to debut but it was a scam and she lost all of her grandma’s hard earned money.
When finally she debuted with LOEN entertainment her first album failed and people insulted her when she performed on stage!

It took a lot of trials and efforts but finally she’s now one of the most popular and respected Korean soloists and thanks to her appearance on « hotel del Luna » she’s gaining more and more international recognition.

언니를 정말 오랫동안 좋아하는 14살 유애나에요!!
저는 백혈병을 진단받아 병원에서 항암치료를 하고 있어 항상 콘서트는 가본 적이 없어요. 항상 병원 침대에서만 열심히 영상을 찾아보기만 했는데 이렇게 유스케에서 12주년 콘서트를 이렇게 공연들을 볼 수 있어 너무너무 행복했어요
치료가 아프고 무섭고 너무너무 힘들지만 언니를 생각하면서 참아보면 저에게 커다란 힘을 생기게 해주는
반딫불이처럼 항상 빛나는 지은언니!! 12주년 진심으로 축하드리고 앞으로도 계속 빛날 수많은 날들을 유애나들이 지은 언니 항상 응원할게요⚘
